| Do you guys ever do single non-seasonal points races?
The reason I ask is since we are coming off of a road season, I would like have a sort of fun race if you will.
I would be willing to host it. It can be limited to members or if the admins wish, it can be open to others as they see fit.
I was thinking something along the lines of the Spec Racer Ford at Charlotte (Road Course). Everyone has the car and track (as a disclosure, I've never driven this car/track combo).
I think it could be a blast.
Some of you bosses may wish to use the occasion to invite and check out prospective members. During the last race there was some chatter about participation. Your call.
I think a weekend night would be perfect for this event.
1 hour practice, 15 minute Qual, 45 minute race, fixed setups?
Does it sound like a good idea?

| Something I learned tonight was that the practice sessions don't seem to appear until the last minute.
For instance the Montreal practice session. I had checked for sessions earlier in the day and didn't see it. So I spent the time mucking about with the Corvette at Laguna Seca because I can't drive that car to save my life. But I'm getting better, I can do a 1:23.5xx now.
Then later when the session was almost over I noticed it. I'm a slow learner when it comes to this game.
I'm probably a crazy person, for every race lap I got at least a couple dozen practice laps.
So, anywho, if everyone can agree on a day and time, maybe this coming Sunday if there isn't practice scheduled what with the season ending. | |
