Practice Room Tonight @ 8:00 - 08/02/12

I am going to be hosting another practice tonight. I am sure there will be plenty of setups flying around to help everyone out. I hope to see all the VSRA faces tonight. Good luck I will see you there. I am making the room open to the public. This way we may get a few new members interested in joining us. If for some reason the room is full and you can't get in, contact me I will make room for you.

So is this season going to be open setup? Or am I misreading?

I'm having computer problems atm, so I may not be able to make it to this practice. I've been working on getting it back up and running. Should be back on iracing tomorrow at the latest.

About your pc issues I too have had some issues. I was fortunate to find out that we have a few IT professionals amongst us. I am sure if youd like they too might be willing to log in remotely to help fix your issues. Might be worth asking them if you need help.

About your pc issues I too have had some issues. I was fortunate to find out that we have a few IT professionals amongst us. I am sure if youd like they too might be willing to log in remotely to help fix your issues. Might be worth asking them if you need help.

Yes, I am an IT "Professional". I use that term loosely, but I am employed as an IT manager. If anyone on this forum needs help, I will be glad to give it provided I have the time and energy. NOS only gets me so far through a day.

I'm no professional by any means, but I built my computer myself and have taken a few computer/software related classes back in college.

I'm back up and running now. I was having problems with a few games lately and decided to just take the plunge and basically start from scratch. I reformatted all of my harddrives, after backing up everything important, and reinstalled windows. So I basically have a brand new PC again without all the crap programs that I installed over the past year or so since building it. I'm sure some of those programs were my problem, but what better way to deal with a few termites than burning the whole house down and building a new one! Actually, that analogy reminded me how much work I did...

That sounds like a plan, I should probably do that soon too.

It really is kind of nice starting fresh. I kind of have a certain way that I like to keep my program files and all of that good stuff. I use three hard drives, a small SSD for windows and programs that I run pretty much daily such as photoshop and vegas, a 1 tb hdd for all other program files and my documents, and another hdd for all of my project files and video files for youtube. So it's nice to be able to start from the beginning and map things out the way you want. Plus like I said, it got rid of the programs that I downloaded for one time use reasons.
