PostSubject: Season 5    Season 5 Empty1/14/2013, 9:36 am

We have already ironed out the car (Mclaren) and we have decided to lengthen the season to 12 weeks with 2 drop races instead of 1.

James had a good idea. Instead of doing a poll on what tracks to run this season I am asking all members to post 1 track that they hands down do not want to run. We will take this data and come up with a good selection of tracks to run.

Hiro had a good idea in running different configuration of tracks to limit amount of purchased content. We will look into this as well.

Good luck guys!!

Scotty

I do not want to run SPA. It is frankly to long and very demanding on my graphics card.

I would rather not have any short tracks. Lets give this beast some room to run! I also think SPA would be fun with the car. It is demanding on card though.

I drove on Spa with the McLaren and it was pretty incredible. Plus, there are several run offs where if you over cook the corner you can recover.

Doesn't do anything for blown engines! BTW G27 shifter is now just a button box! Thrustmaster is awesome.

We are thinking next week. But then the week after that is Valentine's day and not sure if people would be able to race. I won't be able to race that day.

Any track with huge bumps and apex's that are bigger than the tire is a no go... (Sonoma, Sebring, etc)

Maybe we can have a multi-class season now that you can only have 1 of the cars and you can join. and find a lot of people on the iRacing forums. Also, I think we should use a F1 style points system so if someone misses a race or two they're not completely out of the championship.

HPD-ARX
McLaren
Ford GT
Corvette

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

Thats why we have a drop race or two per season. Its not fun to finish 11 and beyond and never score points. If I'm fighting for 12 or 13 I want to earn it with points.
